「GMOクラウドのVPS マイクロプラン」と「さくらのVPS 1G、2Gプラン」を比較してみました。さくらのVPS 1G、2Gプラン(石狩)は使用して1年以上経っているので若干不利な所がありますので参考までにどうぞ。
※ さくらのVPSの1Gプランは初期プランです。ハードディスクは20GB。現在は100GBに増えています。
ハードディスクのパフォーマンスに大きな差が出てました。

感想
結果を見ると、さくらのVPS(v3) 2Gプラン 東京リージョンが最強ですね。ハードディスクのパフォーマンスを見たとき、SSDのプランを間違えて借りてしまったと思いました。
「GMOクラウドのVPS マイクロプラン」と「さくらのVPS(v3) 2Gプラン」は、約400円の差がありますので、コスパで考えるとGMOの方が有利になりますが、GMOクラウドのVPSがクリーンインストール出来るようになったら、メモリも速いし、GMOクラウドの方がパフォーマンスは良さそうです。現時点でスペック・自由度・リモートコンソールの使いやすさを考えると、さくらのVPSの方が良いのかなと思います。私は、大事なサイトはさくらのVPSで運営して、その他はGMOクラウド運用するようにして、使い分けしています。
ただし、さくらのVPSはサーバー負荷に対する制限が事前告知なしで行われるので非常に困る。
VPSを借りる時の参考になれば幸いです。
